Photo Day
Our aim is to capture as many people in folk costumes, and continue to build our library. The members of Sydney Käsitöö are hosting a photo day to help capture images, stories and continue to build our digital archives of Estonian Folk Costumes here in Australia. Participants are required to book their place, so we can ensure swift timings of everyone involved. If you are booking your place, please be ready by the time of your booking. There will be an area for you to get changed and put the final touches onto your costume. The members in Sydney Käsitöö will be around to assist you with your costume or to entertain your children if you need. Our aim is to capture as many people in folk costumes, to continue to build on our photo library. If you require elements of a costume OR if you would like to model some sets we have, please contact Maie Pikkat at maiepikkat@bigpond.com.
For those of you joining us, please note the following:
This project has been made possible by the generous support of ECFA, for which we are incredibly grateful. |
Please note this is the same project which was running at Melbourne Estonian Festival, for those who have already been added to our library. This project is proudly lead by Mai Buchert, starting a few years ago, with the vision of continuing to build the collection of photos. If you have any questions, or if you would like to model some of our folk costume collection, female, roughly size 12-14, please contact please email marissa.pikkat@outlook.com.
